For over 20 years plexus r+d has called Atlanta’s West Midwood neighborhood home. We’ve not only observed, but have been honored to contribute to the transformation of forgotten neighborhoods into epicenters of community engagement. With the same energy, we are dedicated to maintaing the historic integrity of Atlanta landmarks, while evolving for the future and modernizing spaces.
As Atlanta has rapidly grown over the years, a niche community of modern architecture enthusiasts has developed. West Coast contemporary styles have found their place within central Georgia’s traditional Southern style with the influence of the entertainment industry and tech companies. Atlanta’s lush tree canopy and gentle terrain provides the ideal complement between contemporary designs and nature.
Local Projects and Worldwide Audiences
We proudly share our work with the local community, as well as worldwide audiences. Each year the community is invited to see plexus r+d residential projects first hand during the Modern Atlanta Home Tour. Since Atlanta has become known as the Hollywood of the South, you can spot projects by plexus r+d in movies like “Spiderman: No Way Home” and “Killers”.
Industry Recognitions and Honors
plexus r+d has been awarded honors from the American Institue of Architects and was the regional winner of Architectual Digest’s Kitchen Design Challenge from 2019 to 2021.
